| They are a coated string. I assume Rotosound brought these back to compete with the other major string manafactures that make Extra life coated strings (Elixir, DR, GHS, Black Diamond, etc.) I don't know what they sound like. The e-newsletter stated though that they are made from "Type 52 Alloy." I assume it is somewhere between a stainless roundwound sound and nickel roundwound sound, kind of like the GHS Progessives or the Thomastik Infeld Superalloys. The only other difference is that they are coated to resist sweat, dirt, etc. Hence lasting longer. Again I don't know even if these are like the ones made in the late 80's and early 90's, so I don't really know about the feel or sound of them. |
