Rotosound Swing 66s

Ok, so yesterday I went to GC and got some new strings. I decided i'll try out the Swing 66's. So far I think they're great, but when I was first playing them, when I bended the strings (particularly my G string), there was this screeching sound being made from the string rubbing against the fret. Is this normal with these kinds of strings? It's pretty much gone away now, but have my frets been damaged, or my strings?

I dunno, these are the first real set of new strings i've bought. And the screeching, its not like its coming thru the amp or anything, its like this faint kinda scraching kinda sound, cept its high piched.

is your treble high or something? ive had a scratching sound but not unless i was plugged into a small bass combo (that sucks) or had the treble really high. if they are the SS strings than you could be wearing out the frets since the SS Swing bass strings eat frets for breakfast

You may just not be used to strings that bright.
