nope. Though I am a long time Stainless Roundwound player.

I prefer SIT Rock Bright Steel & D'Addario Pro Steels... I had issues with breakage and dead out of the pack in the late 80s with Rotosounds

That's true. But I mean when you get a package Roto 66 with all strings alive. IMO, they rule.

D'Addario Pro Steel and SIT are good too.

Yup! Best sounding strings for me, anyway...

I've never had a problem with breakage or dead strings out-of-pack. I have a set of nickel roto swingers waiting to go back on my SX. They are a bit old, though, so they're due to maybe break soon?

I too was a victim of the dead string surprise. I loved those strings, but by the third pack containing a dead string, I vowed to never buy them again...and I haven't since.

Too bad...that's what lousy QC will get ya; lost customers...

I don't mind them but find them too middle and trebly for my tastes.

I love 'em. Never had a problem with dead new strings myself. I do wish they lasted a tad longer though.
