Anyone tried these yet?

What were your impressions? Tone? Tension? Longevity?

I Didn't like it. normally I use nickel strings, and tried this a year ago.. 1 rehersal and a concert, and all the sound has gone, although I used string cleaner (Dunlop).
The steel one is my favourite, despite it's not nickel... I found it's tone and feel is between usual nickel and steel wounds.

oh yeah... and especially like the E string, maybe the best tension from a .105 E.. even half step down is decent, better than Daddario, Elixir, Ernie, Warwick..

I love 'em on my Fender RBV. It just sings with them on. I also like Thomastik Infeld nickels. I really dig that j bass vibe, and I think these sets nail that. I just prefer the Rotosounds because the ends are blue (at least on the 5-string set) as opposed to red on the TI's, and blue matches better with teal green metallic.

You didn't mention which specific set of TIs you play. But from what I've gathered, they'd probably be softer and more flexible than the Rotosounds as well...

I tend to prefer a little tighter string. In addition to the Swing Bass Nickels, I'm also looking at the Ken Smith Bass Burners - same medium-light gauge: .045-.065-.080-.100. I'm gonna guess that the Smiths will be a little more refined sounding; the Rotosounds maybe a little more raw...

Anyone else try these?

i tried the 45-105 set, didn't like them all that much.

way too bright, tried playing them for a couple of days and it didn't help so i switched back to an old pair of fender pure nickels.

other thing was that i didn't really like the tension, a bit too low.

i should maybe mention that i tried them on a highway one p-bass.

I know it's a different set of strings than you're talking about, but I've been using a set of Rotosound RB40 Nickel medium gauge (in a yellow package and cheaper than the Swing 66's) for over 2 years and they still sound very good. They're on a maple neck P-bass (copy). The strings have well balanced sound now (maybe not as bright as when I first put them on), good top, good bottom and just the right amount of growl. They also have a nice feel, not too rough. I've been very very pleased with these string. Give them a try, there realy isn't much to lose.
