I just received my SX 62 Vintage Jazz Bass today, and its an amazing instrument...hard to believe the price! I did not care for the twangy Di Addario stings it came with, and was about to order some Lo Riderss, flats, or whatever to give it some bottom...then I remembered I had a new set of Rotosound Swing Bass on my string shelf that were never put on one of my earlier basses, so I figured "what the heck", and put them on the SX...Boy! they brought this bass to life...much improved bass tone! I was surprised, seeing how they are roundwounds, but they sure sound 100% better to me! |
