Rotosounds installed on Fender Jazz

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello all,

New member to TalkBass.

Just replaced factory installed strings on my Fender Geddy Lee Jazz with Rotosound medium strings (relatively smaller gauge). Looks like I need to readjust the the torsion rod as the action seems to be closer and getting fret buzz. I suppose this is typical when going to lower gauge strings.

Thanks,

The Weed

Quarter-turn of the truss rod should do the trick.

You need some relief in the neck. Turn the truss rod 1/8th to 1/4th of a turn clockwise.
