Alright, I used heavy gauge (50-110) rounds for quite a while. I recently went down to standard/medium (45-105) with rounds and the TIs are super thin, which we all know. I went to the music store to pick up a set of Roto flats for my fretted bass, I was gonna get 45-105 but they only had heavy 50-110s. I was like, I used to play heavies, no problem. I put them on and started playing... WOW. Is the tension on flats higher than with rounds of the same gauge?

The tension is a little higher on flats , also the roto flats are higher tension than pretty much every other flat around
