Rounds or Flats for this tone?

I'm pretty sure it's recorded with a passive Fender Jazz Bass, but not sure what strings to nail this tone. Maybe tone rolled off too? Also, the bassist on this track is Andrew Levy.

Jazz bass both pups full on w round-wound strings.

For me, the resulting tone is too bright, there is almost no high-end in this bass tone.

Passive Jazz with both pickups on full, tone rolled off about half, with flats would be my guess.

I agree and I think the highs are there just smoothed out by turning the tone down to about the 5-7 range or maybe just gettin a touch buried in the mix.
