I currently have d'addario chromes on my bass and was wonder what are the similarities and differences between the Sadowsky strings and the d'addarios?

Sadowskys have more snap and a better high end and a bit less tension, at least to my fingers, than the Chromes. I much prefer them to any flats I've tried on my 55-94, which included Lakland JO Flats, TI Jazz Flats and Chromes.

Ok thanks man. How do the Sadowsky's compare and Chromes compare in punchiness?

I switched from Chromes to Sads. Luv 'em.
They sound much more like nickel rounds.

Thanks i love the feel of flatwounds but love the sound of nickel rounds so this seem like a great string for my needs

It sounds like they are for you then.
Be prepared though, they have a tapered B.
I found that I like that, some people don't.
And you will have to adjust your bridge saddle to be more like the D or G to get the intonation correct on the B.

Im putting them on a 4 string so the tapered B will not be a problem
