Sadowsky Blue 5 String light

Hey guys, I've temporarily put EB Slinkys on my Brute and my Custom KXB because that is all that was available in my area.

I'm looking at Rogers strings, especially because the B is tapered.

Need your input, comments and reviews before I spur Roger's economy....

Others will have to chime in re the B-string, but I can say that the blue label ss are great strings.

My MV4 came with them installed from the Sadowsky shop, and they stayed on for almost a year which is a personal best for me.

Fantastic Strings. Love the B string on the Nickels.

There are 2 things that make me put nothing but Sadowsky strings on my basses. The first is that they tone is consistant from string to string. When I hit notes on the low B string on some sets, it doesn't sound the same, the tone is very different. With the Sadowsky strings, they sound fairly even up and down.

Secondly, I got a pair of flats from them a couple of years ago, and the tone didn't sound very good, and one of the strings sounded different from the rest. After an email to them to ask about this, they just shipped me a new set the next day with no hassle.

Their customer service has always been great when asking questions, and when I add that in with the quality of the product, I see no reason to give my money to anyone else.

Haven't used the lighter gauge, but for what it's worth I've been using medium Sadowsky Blue Label Nickels for several years. Excellent strings. I really do prefer them to everything else that I've tried (and that's a lot). Great customer service to boot!

I've been using them for a few years, I really dig them, plus they are a great bargain when you buy a box.

has anyone used the Sadowsky 5 string light flats? If so, what can you tell me about them?

I'm not a flats guy at all...but I like the Sadowsky's the best out of any flats that I've tried. Most 5 string flats just don't have a good sound on the Low B to me. The Sadowskys did. If I ever have a bass that wears flats, it will wear Sadowskys.
