Which Sadowsky Flat Matches LaBella 760FL?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm currently using the LaBella 760FL light flats (43-60-82-104) on my P-Bass. Can anybody tell me which of the two Sadowsky Black flat sets will be closest in term of feel and tension: SBF40 (40-60-80-100) or SBF45 (45-65-85-105)?

I'd like a slightly different sound, but not too much difference in feel. The LaBellas are the only flats I've used, so I don't have any other points of reference... Thanks!

Both sets are going to "feel" slightly different either way you go. The 760FL's are pretty much in between.

So you are going to need to decide if you want something slightly lower tension or slightly higher. The difference in feel / tension is going to be very slight.

Can't go wrong either way.

I've never tried the lighter Sadowsky flats but the .105 set is close enough to the Labella FLs that you shouldn't worry unless you are very fussy about tension.
