So I am still on the fence with this bass, but am leaning to keeping it. I may tweak the set up, string height, etc. a bit and see what happens. I currently have DR Hi Beams (45 - 125) on it. I have always loved these strings, but they feel a little "tighter" (more tension) on this bass than other basses I use them on - especially the G string. It's really stiff and tight. Any suggestions? What do you guys use? |

I have them on my 24/5 and Vintage 5 fretless and they sound great. |

The thing I miss when I play this bass is the "growl" I get from my other bass with Bartolini jazz pups and preamp. I was thinking Sadowsky strings - obviously - but maybe I'll see if a local place has the EB Slinky's. |

Cheers.

Although now that you have me thinking about this I am going to have to try the Rotosound RS665LD set because I can not find anyone on TB discussing this set and how the B string ranks...to be continued
