The blue series seem less "sticky" to my fingers. Also, they seem more substantial for some reason. Dont know why. The blacks are great but I think I'll be using the blues from now on

Not sure of the specs. I was given a set by the shop in the summer to try

I'd love to hear a full A/B review! If they're similar to black labels but as Hurlatron said with maybe a little less tension then they'll be perfect |

| | Registered User Owner: Sadowsky Guitars Ltd. | | | | | I've made a conscious decision not to engage in any of the marketing and advertising bulls**t that drives the string industry. No matter what I say about the strings, it don't mean squat until you try a set on your instrument. String advertising is all hype and crap. It doesn't matter what "artists" I have using the strings. It doesn't matter what the core size is or what the wrap layers are. It doesn't matter if the strings are compression wound, wound under liquid nitrogen, wound under the influence of reefer, wound by a one handed blind man or wound by a computer.
I just felt that my Black Label strings could not be all things to all people, so I set on a 12 month quest to develop a second string that might appeal to some players who may not prefer the Black Labels. I have been giving sample sets for the last 6 months to players I respect and the response to the Blue Label Strings have been so good, I am ready to release them. Some of my beta testers have said they prefer the Blue Labels on one bass and prefer the Black Labels on another bass.
So, if you are curious, just try a set. Any one ordering a box (5 sets) of Black Label strings will get a similar set of Blue Labels to try, with my compliments. We want to know what you think of them! If you purchase a set to try, I guarantee you will get your money's worth. If you think they suck, let me know why and I will send you a replacement set of Black Label Strings.

The first 5 nickel users and the first 5 stainless users who email me will receive a set of Black Label and Blue Label strings to evaluate, in exchange for you posting your review here!
Email me with your address, and if you want nickel or stainless, 4 string or 5 string.
On your mark........

I love the approach, Roger...
Your business is so built on word of mouth, it won't be long before SOMEONE A/B's the two sets and decides to write a lengthy critique on them...
but until then...we must all buy at least one set of each...
(except for the lucky 10, of course)
Actually, I'm curious about your strings, period...it's been a long time since I used a hex-core string...the last set I had were a Peavey nickel round and I thought they were nice and sparkly and played great...
I've sort of settled on D'Add XL's for the time being, but am willing to try a hex-core again, soon.
I like a string that's rich in harmonics...I like to work from a "subtractive" standpoint when it comes to tone...in other words, give me all the harmonics, and I'll dial out what I don't like. |

Great! Email sent for the stainless strings. I would love to try them and write up a full evaluation.
