It has taken some time for me to try out all the 4 sets Roger has sent me for testing and you know why it took so long? Because it took so long to get them changed. All that time I just enjoyed playing the same strings on one of my basses - and they still sound good after I installed them in 2009! Can you imagine?! Well, I oil my strings every time I play but still. I had to install the other strings on my other basses and just got the chance to install the last set on my Fodera NYC.
As a starter of this thread I must say that the new strings are just awesome! As Roger said the blacks are a bit more punchier and have more tension (which I like) while the blues sound more raw I'd say. They both suit well for my needs. I like especially the tension both the blue and black strings have. And did I mention that they last looooooong?
Thank you Roger! The new order is coming!
