I've been using rotosound swingbass strings on my Maverick 5 string.

Thing is
they are EATING my frets!
bass is only a year old and theyre really pretty scratched
so im looking for a new set of strings that'll be much kinder to them

thing is, im a rather broke uni student! so cost effectiveness is a key issue!

any ideas for a 5 string, roundwound set for minimum dough?

help much appreciated

D'Addario.

they're nickle wrapped steel.

IMO - not expensive, last long, sound great (brite) and don't eat your frets.
