I'd like to buy more spare sets of strings. Pls advise how long the strings become unusable if they are kept in a sealed and unsealed condition. thanks!

It depends.
I personally never experienced a string going off good condition due to extended pre-installation storage.

Strings will only really go "off" when they are being played id think, or if they are left in a very humid environment for a long period.

Most of the wear on strings comes from corrosion and clogging of the strings from sweat and oils from your hands, and there is also the wear added from the strings being underpressure and streching (over a long period).

Id think you will be fine with an unsealed pack
