Tried:
Hi-Beams - no like
Roto Swing Bass 66 - eh
GHS - (came on the bass and sucked)

BTW: this forum is vender biased

Funny thing this forum. As soon as I posted this thread I found "Camel-" thread with a lot of info as well as the last two post here. Looks like I need to try some flats! Thanks

I have a T-bird, and use rotosound steve harris series flats. They are a little bright new, but play in nice. PLENTY of low end thump my friend. yes ghs strings sucked on mine too.
