Seeking LIGHT 5 string set

Sign in to disble this ad
i'm seeking recommendations and/or advice for a suitable replacement set for my Conklin/Groove Tools Fretless 5...

the original RW strings mic at .045 -.124....black silk wrap(Markley's ? idk)...i'd prefer flatwound, and also to keep the B at .125 or under....

So far, i have found only a Pedulla SS set, .040 - .125 and also a Dean Markley SS set .044 -.125...
Are there any others i should be looking at ?

Optimally, i'd prefer to go with D'Addario Chromes, but haven't been able to find a 5 string set in these gauges....

Your input is greatly appreciated, Thanx !

Hey, it's tougher to find flats in a light gauge IME. The good news is the TI's are low tension and feel lighter than they are. If you do RW's you have more options (the link you have are both RW btw). I like lights on a few of my 5's and order them as singles.
I just put GHS 35,50,70,90,121 on a Pedulla and it plays and sounds fantastic.
Good luck.
