Seven Strings Bass Strings

I recently purchased a seven-string bass and I am loving it. I have it tuned as follows--low to high:

F#, B, E, A, D, G, C

What I am finding is that the low string that I have tuned to F# is really "flabby" (couldn't think of another word) and the tone is drowned out. After finding out that the string was a .145 gauge, a friend suggested I get a single .165 string and set of six string bass strings with the B gauge at .130. It's a real pisser trying to find .165 gauge single strings--either online or in stores. Can anyone who has any suggest or point me in the right direction as to where I can get these?

What scale length is your bass?

Unless you're at about 37", you're probably going to want something bigger than a .165 at F#. I use a .165 at G# and it is barely acceptable
