Question Short/Medium Scale Strings for Jay Turser JTB-134/Guild Starfire

Sign in to disble this ad
Does anyone know which length strings are appropriate for this instrument? Mine is an older model JTB-134, a Guild Starirre copy, short scale with a trapeze-style tailpiece.

I borrowed this picture from a TalkBass classified ad:

Thanks for your help!

I don't know exactly, but I have a set of standard 34" TI Jazz Rounds on my old Guild Starfire. No problems

Medium scale strings are not a good fit for this instrument! I spoke too soon; my D string wrapped around the post.

Contact bpstrings.com. They have several different gauged medium sets by both GHS and D'Addario. Also check out juststrings.com
