short-scale flatwounds****

Sign in to disble this ad
came over here to talkbass to see if anyone can clear up a little query i've got... i'm looking at getting one of these gibson sg re-issue basses, which has a scale of 30.5 inches. the thomastik-infeld short scale flatwounds measure 32", is this too much of a difference? will they fit ok?

i should say that i'm crazy about infelds- i've got em on both my working basses - '77 P and an old czech upright. if they won't fit i'd sooner look for another bass to get. but i really dig the gibson.

help?

thanks,
ray yo

Those will probably fit fine. You may want to email them and ask--companies want you to get the right string for your bass.
