So i've been looking up different strings for short scale basses, such as the Fender VI and well i found that some of them say are tuned B-b aka baritone made by Ernie Ball, what about E-e, if so what brands would the E-e tuning be? Just looking for some clarification.

unless it's specified that they're for baritone tuning, they're for bass tuning. d'addario makes a couple sets. go play around at juststrings.com and see what you can find.

i think d'addario and ernie ball are close enough to be pretty much interchangeable.

Always check Juststrings.com.

This Labella set is a good guide for gauges. From there you can look at other stuff and make an educated decision about it working for you or not.

E-e tuning: Fender Bass VI. Schecter Hellcat VI and Ultra VI. Rondo/Agile Extended Scale. Jerry Jones VI.

For a Fender Bass VI body and length (with whammy bar)

LaBella also makes a round for the Fender Bass VI.

The D'Addario XL156 is for the Fender VI and XL155 for the Jerry Jones VI.

also: Fender Bass VI strings made by Fender (BUT - they were recently discontinued however, can still be found on the Net: http://basspartsresource.com/bass_stringsfendervi.htm)

Made just for Schecter Hellcat VI: http://elderly.com/search/elderly?te...trings&x=5&y=8
