Short stainless flats

I'm looking for some recommendations. My daughter has some musical inclinations, but is allergic to nickel. She plays piano and sings, and was digging the bassline to a song by (iirc) the Sliverspun Pickups. I started showing her how to play it when she asked what the strings were made of, since her fingers were itching right from the get-go. I've always used nickel strings, never cared for the feel of stainless.

I'm looking for short-scale, stainless steel strings. And I'm also thinking that flatwounds would be best due to the (generally) higher tension, as well as the smoother feel. Can anyone provide a recommendation?

You might want to look into D'Addario Chromes.

Drop Roger@sadowsky.com a line and ask him if his standard black labels support your short scale.

Great stainless flats.

I have D'Addario Chromes on my short scale Mikro, and I am very happy with them.

(Just happened to be covering some Silversun Pickups this evening too!)

+1. Yes, and they are sold at juststrings.com as being made of stainless-steel. (Unlike GHS Briteflats which are sold as being made of nickel/iron.)
