Love this set, whatever it is. They came with my '07 Fender fretless Jazz bass, but I don't know what kind they are. Anyone have a clue? They're very thumpy, but also have some really great mids and low highs. I like them, whatever they are.

La Bella? I know they have blue silks and are classified by strong thump.

Shanty - Not La Bella... LaBella's don't have silk on their ball ends (atleast the newer ones)...

Look like Ernie Ball Flats to me!

Thanks guys! I'll do some research and find out. I'm saving up for some TI Jazz Flats when I get the cash, but that'll be a while yet what with their outrageous prices. Maybe for Christmas... We'll see!

I love chromes, but hate the rainbow colored ball ends. I find it distracting and eye catching for all the wrong reasons

I have just gone through researching a set just like this and I think Jason has this one right on ... same silk as Chromes, but wound shorter at the tuner, and gold balls ..

I kind of like the colored ball ends. On my bass, they're hidden from view unless looking at the bass like in the picture.

To each their own!

Fender 9050s ML (old version), and I have another pack in storage for future use. Those were the best flats ever.

My main bass ('09 MIA) with Fender flats, specifically the ML 50-100 set (newer kind, I developed a cyst with the old ones)! Match made in heaven. Thought this was the best pic I ever took of the bass, then noticed my polish cloth snuck in there.

'83 MIJ Pbass, '84 MIJ Jazz, '85MIJ Ibanez 5 fretless- All have Chromes (The Jazzand the Ibanez for 4 years). Really, really like these strings.

My '85 MIJ Ibanez 5 fretted, and my early 80s Cheepaz P copy have rounds. DRs and Rotos (I think), respectively.

What strings are you using and would they reach on my bass?

You need a super long set of Chromes. You probably tried to make a long scale set fit thru the body.
