Does anyone else find them annoying and ugly?

I could take the strings off easier too. Now I have Fender Flats, and they have green silk, so it's pretty ugly.

There's a tiny bit of silk between the nut and first fret on my P bass's E string. That said, it's nothing that's going to keep me up at night. It just is what it is. |

I like the different color silks to helps with identification ... I have 5 different types of flats on basses currently, and it makes remembering which is which a lot easier ... JMHO |

I clean my roundwound strings and use them over and over, and strings with silk look like crap after a few months of that. And I don't clean flats but I take them off and put them on a lot because I can never decide if I want to use flats or rounds, and they get frayed and nasty looking. But I can't find a set of flats I like without silk, so I guess I'm stuck.
