Single B strings (steels)

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi,
I am wanting to replace the current 128 gauge B string on my BTB as it is a little too floppy for my liking so I would like to find a heavier gauge B.
Does anyone know any websites that sell single steel 135 gauge single B strings, preferably in the UK? I would prefer them to be fairly bright and long life.
I have done a bit of searching but can only find A'ddadrio long scale B strings and I have a 35" scale so they won't fit.
Can anyone help me?

Thanks,
Tom

D'Addario used to make super long .135s, I had a tapered one, excellent string, shortish taper and flexible. But 2 years ago they discontinued their super long single strings. At that time I emailed http://www.stringsdirect.co.uk to order some single .145s, they said there was some stock left over at D'Addario UK.

So perhaps email them and ask if D'Addario UK have some super-long .135s lying around? I recommend the tapered version, especially for the 45 degree break angle over the saddle of a BTB (I own a BTB).

The latest D'Addario long scale strings are now 36&1/4" winding length so might just be long enough for a BTB.

See this post and thread: D'Addario B string not long enough for 35 scale?
