Single strings?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi all

I have snapped my thickest guage bass string, it is a 130 guage on my 5-string bass, instead of buying a new 5 string set, are there any online stores out there where i can buy a 130 guage bass string?

Thanks in advance!

Guitar Center if you have one near you.

Its a good idea to change them all for a better sound.

Ive broken my B just with normal playing.

Peace
Nick

I'm thoroughly impressed.....I've always thought breaking a B was impossible( as long as it isn't tuned up like 3 steps)

Ive broken B E A(2) and G strings in my time as a bassist.

Only once or twice was it from hard playing the rest were just normal playing. They never actually broke the whole way through. It was just the core that broke; the windings stayed intact.

Peace
Nick

Don't just buy a single string IMO... Unless you have an extra one and are going to restring soon anyway... But it will sound brighter, newer, and better than all the other strings...
