SIT Powersteels

Ok I just bought a set for 14 and some change from juststrings.com. Great tone and feel. A bit more tension with the hex core but I am really impressed. Nice growl, sound great on my jazz. Much more affordable than Hi-Beams. I'm switching to these for awhile. To me I get a better sound than the H-Beams. Anyone else digging these strings??

I did the same thing for 2 months til I started to get some weird inconsistancies (sp?) between each set of sits. I think I may go back to the high beams now.

IMHO SIT strings seem to be more mid-focused than many other strings. Quite a few other Stainless strings have more of a native scooped nature.

I have a set 45105 on my Ibanez SR. I love SIT Powerwounds as nickel rounds, but these Powersteels don't seem as bright as D'Addario Prosteels which is what I was after.

When these start getting dull; I' going back to the Prosteels. Tried, true, and cheap.

Haven't tried the power STEELS.
But have been a long time fan of nickel power wounds. Great string & seem to last well too.

I Use the Nickel Powerwounds on my Pbass. I only use steels on my jazz basses, right now they are power steels. I like them better (so far) than the DR HiBeams. The hibeams have to much of a piano tone if that makes sense, The Powersteels sound better for harder rock. For whatever Reason I never use nickels on my jazz. Tried around seven different brands of nickels on my jazz basses and never got what I thought was good tone. Maybe the pu's ??I only use steels now on my Lakland Joe Osbourne and Squier CV60's. But yeah I Love the Nickel Powerwounds on my P. I find the Powersteels to be bright and myabe even brighter than HiBeams out of the box.
