Sign in to disble this ad
walked thru GC the other day,guy was thumping on a Stingray fiver thru a Marbass,i said `thumpy man!,he said `it needs tapewounds',,so of course we BS'd a wee bit and i noticed it was fitted with Chromes(witch i commented)`i play reggae so i need tapewounds' he replied

so,any lowdown scoop on using tapewounds? is there some hidden tone in them? what about tension versus say chromes or rotos?,,they ARE uh? reasonably priced

I'm not sure what he meant. Tapewounds to me are a hybrid between flats and rounds. I find most flats to be "thumpier" than tapes. Check juststrings.com for prices. They're not too expensive.
