I break strings all the time - dr hex core (the most durable), eb slinkys, dr marcus, dr jonas, d'addario, blue steel, lo beams, hi beams, in betweenn beams

I hate playing for 2 days and having them break on me

They always break at the bridge and it's not the bass (this a lifetime thing)

Any indestructible string recommendations for punchy rock?

Check your bridge, I used to break lots a strings but it was solely a matter of bridge adjustment. My tech also put a little graphite on the saddle and it worked.

I used to break strings all the time, but for me it turned out to be my LH technique at the root of the problem, not the strings or instrument. Since I learned to play hard without pushing the strings past their limit, they don't break on me anymore (and I find I can play better as a result, too)
Maybe not your problem but something to consider.

As people have said before, check your bridge. There may be sharp edges on your bridge that cause your strings to break. There is almost no reason for a bass string to break after 2 days.

I had this problem on an old PJ bass of mine and couldn't figure it out for the life of me until my guitar player started having the same problem. He was smarter than I was and took his in to have it looked at. He bad a "bur" on his bridge... I took mine in; same thing. They filed it down, smoothed it out, no problem now.
