I found Ernie Balls to break on me a LOT, same with GHS Boomers. I'm not denouncing either, they just weren't right for my style at the time, but my style is mellowing out, so I may try them again sometime.
But so far I'm very satisfied with LaBella for quality AND customer service, and D'Addario ain't too bad either.

i play fingerslap/style mainly near the bridge and these strings just dont last. i love them when I put them on, but hate them after a week, these last ones were on for 2 weeks and I just broke the e string again last night.
going to try some cirrus 5s tonight and see how they pan out, if not, DRs will be next in line. |
