d'oh! I work in a music store, I've seen the String Station set up, I should know better...didn't pay too much attention since i lost interest after the Slowounds...I tried a set of XLs again after, and was reminded of why I switched to Slowounds...I think there's a difference, whether it's power of suggestion or what, and while the XLs are great, they didn't compare...IMHO...

I have finally found a set of strings which I really like so much and also being different, it's giving me good feeling, Fender 7150 pure nickel. slowound saudade bye bye!!!

I'm happy!

I've settled on Alchemy's across the board...the DR Black Beauties sounded great with the EMGs on my old Spectors (maple body), but not so great with the Bartolini Mahogony/maple Top.

Too bad... Fender updated their pure nickel strings.
New package. I just bought a new set.
Discovered that now the strings have no more the gold sild on top.
No silk at all...
I prefer strings with silk.
We'll see how these new strings will sound...
