Smooth alternative to DR Fatbeams/Hi-beams?

Hi

I really like the DR "beams", but they don't seem to stand much abuse. I play quite hard and broke two E-strings in two weeks (once playing with my fingers (!), at the bridge and once playing with a pick, at the nut), so I have to find an alternative.

So, what's the smoothest feeling stainless steel rounds available aside from the DRs?

Dean Markley Helix, Sadowsky Steels (Blues), and Ken Smith Steels.

I'm not really a stainless guy, but those are the smoothest that I have played.

Those can all be found at http://www.bassstringsonline.com email Jason there. He will help you pick a string for your needs!

Thanks for the reply, madbassplaya!

Any other brands, people?
(I've read some good things about Dunlop stainless steel sets, anyone wanna comment?)

The Fender 7250s are nickel-coated steel. To me, the feel much more smooth than many other steel brands.
