Cruising my local Craig's List for cheap gear, I stumbled on a guy selling new sets of Ernie Ball bass strings really cheaply. No five string sets, just four or six. Well, I play a five string, so I figure I'll just get the six string and ditch the extra, and at this price I'll got for the bulk discount. We set up a time to meet, and it's a little sketchy. Dark parking lot at night, that sort of thing. We meet up and the guy is laying his rap on me, and I'm just trying to keep an eye on him and count to make sure there are enough packages. I hand over the money and scoot.
I get home to look at my prize, and realize that they aren't six string bass sets, just six string guitar. So..... anyone want six sets of Ernie Ball guitar strings (3 extra slinky, 3 hybrid slinky)? How much do they usually go for anyway, I've never bought guitar strings before. |

Well, in my defense...
1. I'm an utter newb: these are the first strings I've ever bought.
2. I was more worried about making sure the guy didn't jump me than I was about the finer details of the product. |

Really, Juststrings dot com has almost every string there is....if you are on a super budget, keep an eye out on TB..people are really good about posting blowouts on strings. You obviously can get online, so just order what you need so you don't get killed.
Jimmy's right, it sounds like you just had to take your shirt off to be on an episode of "cops".
