Thumbs up Solved the tapercore intonation problem!

I cut up some steel gasline tubing and use little pieces as washers. Of course the Warwick was probably the hardest bass to try this on but if I can do it on this bridge I can do it on most.

The place where the core gets exposed is much closer to the saddles on the 3 strings I added washers. I intonated it beforehand and hoped it wouldn't change afterwards. They are all within 1mm except the g string at 2mm (too close for a washer...) The E and D were at 6mm. The A was at 4mm (I should redo this on with a little thicker washer.)

It is not COMPLETELY solved because there is still a step exposed (atleast not the core) but it is NOT NEARLY as bad as before. The jury is still out on whether this setup is better than non-taperwound strings...

BTW these are Labellas... and this would have been a much easier experiemnet on a standard flat faced bridge LOL

I've used additional ballends from old strings slid onto the strings, and PCB standoffs from computers.
