Well, here they are... my two American Jazz Deluxe w/ their Gold Optima strings..
I must say, bling aside, these are some nice sounding strings.. and quite well made.. they've got a nice feel about them.. being German made, I don't doubt their quality. With a piano like sound and yet with some good deep undertone.. not empty sounding like my DRs that I replaced.. I'm told these strings can last months.. so I'm going to try to milk them as long as I can and see what kind of milage I can get out of them.. Retail is about $100, but I got them at about $60/set .. The 5-string I strung to EADGC as I'm thinking I'd like to use it as my "solo bass" since I'm not finding much need for the low B these days.
