They likely are ahving problems with the strings, yet mostly solved prior to consumers getting their hands on them.

In fact a few that are bad could be the ones that slipped past QC (pertaining to some of the posts on here regarding them not being good).

I have heard this very rumor... and I run DR's on all my basses (except my 51 Ri use TI flats) I have never had a single bad string... I would rather use a bad DR string than most other strings I have tried.
MY opinion on DR strings is based upon real-world experience (just like yours) if Wal-Mart made a 99 cent set and they were awesome i would have NO PROBLEM running with them, so I have no particular brand fanboy base.
I do think thier longnecks are PERFECT for Warwicks though.

Maybe I'm just lucky... I've always played either Rotosounds (I've seen more than a few comments on here about their quality control) and DR's... I have never had a single bad string out of the box... ever.

Imagine... GC bashing a decent vendor... Perhaps their margins are better on DiAddario?

Same here, never had a bad DR set.

Not so with La Bella BTW.

Don't listen to people at Guitar Center, they always have an agenda or are trying to show off by feeding you ******** about some product...
