Something in between?

IŽve read many posts saying that TI Jazz Flats
are very good but somewhat to "floppy" , i.e. too
low a tension while on the other hand DŽAddarios
and Fender flats have too high a tension. IŽm of
that opinion as well.

Are there any "good" flats with a tension in
between?

I'm starting to look like I work for Optima but I'll once again recomend their chrome series flatwounds. They don't kill your fingers like LaBellas I've used and still just enough tension so you can dig in and feel good about it. Soundwise there snapier than most flats so they need to be played in to appeal to hardcore flat fans but they have plenty of thump and growl out of the pack. Not zingy or harsh at all. My 2 cents & YMMV...
