I'm a beginner bassist, and I'm on my last week of rental before I pay it off next week. I was playing, pretty hard I guess, and my string just popped off the saddle thing. I can't tell if it's broken or if there's a way to put it back... |

Next question is probably gonna be "which string set" in which case I would recommend DR Hi-Beams - might wanna go .40, .60, .80, .100's since you're newer to the instrument. Just my $0.37 worth of thought (damn inflation!).
But if you think you're gonna be breaking a lot of them, stick to the cheaper strings so you're not spending $25+ every other day.

But you should probably get a new set, just in case.

| | | | I say turn the rental in and tell them its a piece of shite, you barely plucked the string and the damn thing popped off. Then buy a bass and play much softer.
Or wait, you mean you are buying this bass? Get some new strings. Which one's, you might ask. |

best deal on strings out there, works out to less than $7.00 a set. been using them for a few years now as I put a new set on every 4 weeks.(i use the 5 string set .45 - .130)
