Somewhat Bright Flatwound

I'm playing some Primus covers and I need a quality set of flatwounds. Are any brands brighter sounding than others?

BP and some others have mentioned the Sadowsky flats as being brighter...BP also said the Roto's were "slappably crisp."

Yes, I'm somewhat bright, thank you...

Oh, wait. Strings. Um, yes, the Roto's are pretty bright, almost roundwound-ish. Fender 9050's are also pretty bright for flatwounds, as are D'Addario Chromes. It's a different sort of brightness than rounds, i.e., they don't sound like rounds, but they definitely have some upper mids and highs.

Yep.

Growly as a chimera, too.

I wish I could sing like Rick Danko.

Yeah, maybe the Rotos are brighter but I hear they die after a week and the balancing leaves something to be desired. My Chromes are perfectly balanced and still going strong after more than a month of hard playing.
