Post Songs played with Nylon Strings

Sign in to disble this ad
Ok, since my previous post is sinking, I will make it more generic. What songs/albums do you know that were recorded using nylon strings? So far, I've got:

Abbey Road (The Beatles)
Let it Be (The Beatles)
Town Called Malice (The Jam)
Transformer (Lou Reed)

Anymore?

Graham Maby used nylon tapewound strings for the entire "Look Sharp" album.

I'm not sure that McCartney used nylon strings on every song on LIB although they are obviously in evidence on the Hofner in the LIB film. I'm also not sure that he ever used nylons strings on the Rick. There's been much discussion as to exactly what bass he used on Abbey Road as well. Perhaps Ronn Roberts from The Eggmen can weigh in.

@Philbiker : Thanks for the pointer - just heard some of the (great) songs and loved the bass lines and tone!

@mccartneyman: Thanks for the input. Yes, I know there is some debate around it -- I'll try to double check which songs have been actually recorded with them. Take care!

Any Mariachi traditional song. Most of these tradiotional bands use upright bass with nylon strings i've played many of them, their very easy to play compared to metal string upright basses (american jazz).
