Sooo. Are these new or old Formula?

I ordered a set of Fender Pure Nickels. 7150ml.

I found them on amazon for a great deal, especially considering I'm trying to try every string I can to see what I really like!

I found them for 6.59$ No tax, and free 2 day shipping.

I picked up the box, excited to put my new strings on. It feels funny... this feels like a rock in this box... Why did they send a a box.. when all they have to send is the paper envelope? Something isn't adding up here.. Well turns out, they sent me 6 sets!

And I want to say they're the old formula 7150's?

Yeah? I wonder if they just thought they were obsolete.. and no one would buy them? The little research I have looked on the 7150's.. is almost non existent. But I have seen favor over the old formula, compared to the new. I feel like a fox in a chicken coop.

I am really enjoying these strings so far. Can sound nice and mellow, or really aggressive. No super harsh upper content. Most of the content is in the low, and mids.

I'll re evaluate how I feel in about 2 weeks I guess?
