sound clips of Flatwound strings

Sign in to disble this ad
particularly on a P bass. I couldn't get the search criteria to find them- but I think this has been discussed already. Point being, I would like to hear Fender ML flats, D'aD Chromes, and Labella flats. I've been using Chromes for a long time, but recently played a jazz with Fender flat MLs and loved it. I loved the punch and how the strings have more attack with they come off the fingers. But I have a 5 string, so I have to sort this out if I use the Fenders. Can anyone point me back to the thread with the sound clips?

Thanks.

Thanks- this is the one I was looking for

Next is to decide if I want to find a single coil 5 string P Bass that sounds like the old single coil P basses, or replace the front PU on my jazz 5 with a single coil
