I am having my spector Rex 5 set up by a luthier including new strings and I am torn between DR Hi Beams, Sun Beams, and Low riders.
I have never had stainless steel before, but I have heard good things about the Hi Beams I am just worried about them tearing up my frets. I like the Sun Beams, but I don't know much about how tight the B string will be. Finally their is Low Riders which I am leaning to right now barring the fact that I already have a bass that has a thumpy sound and I want a little bit of brightness. |
