| Spector players! What kind of strings do you use?

Spector Players. Any specific brands of strings that you swear by?
I have tried 3 brands -
Dean Markleys - For the life of me I could not get good tone out of these strings! By far the worst I have purchased!
Polinski (Polish Strings imported from Europe) - Excellent set of strings, provided me with the low end punch I was looking for, and sounded great higher up the neck.
D'Addario - My favorite thus far. Its what I currently use and will probably use for a long time, (unless someone here can convince me to try another brand!) I like the sound of the B string.
The last thing I want is a clanky, metallic sounding bass. I found that the Dean Markleys were notorious for creating this sound. What other brands of strings would you recommend to a Spector player that is looking for a warm and thick sound? |
