The specs of each squier bass include the factory strings. Look up your bass at squierguitars.com, hit specifications, check there.

BTW, my squier jazz came with Fender 7250MLs which I'm really impressed with.

Just don't believe for a minute that Fender had anything to do with them. They are not Fender 7250 MLS/NPS strings - but there are some exceptionally good ones in that bunch of fakes.

My opinion of the MII strings that come on the VM line (don't know for sure about the CVs) and has a red silk are the best that you're gonna find from Fender/Squier. I buy or wheedle them outta people who want to replace them without even trying them first.

The '7250s' with black silks are a throw back - you throw them back, that is.

Not all MIIs are the same obviously, but even my Deluxe Jazz had the black silks on it and they got eighty-sixed ASAP and replaced with Elixir Nanos.

Just beware - since the Fender name seems sacred (it should be) and this might rile some people to take pen in hand and ream me a new one --- but their strings are all over the place for acceptability and playability. .

The specs for my VM jazz say they were suppose to be Fender 7250MLs on it. Got it brand new still sealed in the box and the strings have colored ball end on no silk on them

My Squier VM Jaguar came with 7250 NPS on it, according to the website. They have red silk and they sound killer.

Havn't had it real long, but not bad so far, not sure if they're actually 7250's or not since most people seem to be getting red silk on theirs and mine have none at all, kinda remind me of D'Addario XLs with the color coded balls and no silk, but they're much brighter silver looking and far less finger noise
