Well, I am not promoting rebellion, but if there is one most valuable tidbit I have ever gleaned from TB is was several years ago when I posted:

"I just got a new bass and it has these strings that have gold wraps and are exposed core. I love them. What are they?"

These many years later I know I have bought at least 25-30 sets of them, but it seems these days I am struggling to find them. They are not to be had at all at the local GC and even the net order places have given me grief.

So if you are user, I have some questions:

1. Have any of you had the same experience?

2. Can you share a quick and reliable net source? I use the LT 5-string set.

3. If you have been forced to try something else, what has been you experience as the closest thing to the SR2000?

I am currently using Longnecks on my Lakland, but I don't think they would work too well on my Modulus. They have too much exposed core unless you are stringing through body as does my Lakland.

Many thanks,

Charles
