Question SRX USERS! WHAT STRINGS DO YOU USE?

JUST GOT AN SRX700 FROM A FELLOW TALKBASSER AND I NEED TO GET ROUNDWOUND STRINGS...

On my Geddy Lee Jazz I have DR Extra-Life Black Beauties and I love the tone that I am getting from them!

On my SRX700- I'd like to get a good tone when using both pick and fingers. I am going to play Metal and Hard Rock with this bass-I want mids and nice low end, strong sustain and ridiculous growl-which this bass is capable of!

What tone is closest to the DR Black Beauties? The only other strings I've ever liked have been Rotosound Swing Bass 66 Nickel on Steel (the ones that do not have a lion in the front of the package)

I don't know the difference between DR Lo-Riders and the Hi-Beams so please let me know!

Did some research on the DR website...

The DR LO-RIDER NICKEL PLATED STEEL seem to fit what I'm looking for. On the site it says long-lasting, loud with a mid-range growl.

Anyone use these before?

ernie ball??

I use ernie ball strings on my SRX2XEX2, roundwounds of course, and they sound great to my ear. As for mids? that sounds more like an amp issue than strings. Although I'm sure with any decent brand round wound strings you'll find that tone your looking for with the right setup.

Cool. I put Rotosound Swing Bass 66's on for now and they sound good for this bass very strong hard rock tone-but it could be better. I read in a DR thread that the DR LOW RIDERS STEEL ARE BETTER...thanks to those who responded, I may check out the D'addario Pro Steels also.
