I have heard the La Bella HRS have a lot of mids.

Definately not Fender. I put a set on and I have to boost mids a lot to get any usable sound.

LaBella HRS are my preferred steel string for mids. But they still do not have the mids of a nickel string. They just changed the Tapered E in the 45-105 HRS set which I think is not so good. But the Pedulla strings are the same thing (at least to my ears and hands) and have Tapers on B thru D.
