Stainless strings w/ silver ball ends?

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to fill out a set of Dingwall strings with a high-C.

For visual consistency, I'm looking for a stainless string with a silver-colored ball end and no silk wrapping.

Can anyone suggest a brand? I'm planning on just buying a single string from Juststrings.com, but I want to be sure of getting one with the silver ball.

Correct - no silk at either end.

I'm looking for something in the .030" to .035" range.

I looked at all of the ball ends on all of the .028-.035 strings I have and all have Golden balls...

Ball ends are milled, and usually out of brass for its workability. Curious - which brands do a white-metalled ball end, and what metal that is?

I only checked strings I know do not have any Silk wrapping on them.

I did not look at the ball ends of strings with any silk at all...

I'm guessing it's just a simple plating.
Failing that, it might be nickel-silver, which is very close to brass...?

They're Dingwall-branded strings.
Maybe I'll email Sheldon and ask him.

Last time I bought Dean Markley Super Rounds (it's been a couple years) they had silver ball ends and no silk.
Not sure if they make a .030 or .035.
